Description: The School of Education at Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Education beginning August 1, 2018. This is a tenure track position. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians, committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Early Childhood or Elementary Education. Three years of successful teaching experience at the elementary (P-5) level required. Experience working with Specialty Profession Association reports or CAEP accreditation is preferred.

Responsibilities: The candidate will teach in the Early Childhood and Elementary undergraduate program with possibility of teaching in the Masters of Education program. The position requires teaching a range of elementary and/or early childhood courses in pedagogy, assessment and general education. Faculty members are also called upon to participate in academic advising, serve on committees and engage in service and scholarly activities.
