The Department of Educational Psychology, Counseling and Special Education at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in Counselor Education beginning Fall 2018. The initial appointment will be for two years. Expectations include teaching, research, student advisement, college service, and continuing professional development. Located in the hills of Central New York, SUNY Oneonta is a mid-size, public, liberal arts and sciences college with a pre-professional focus. The College enrolls approximately 6,000 students in a wide variety of bachelor’s degree programs and a number of graduate certificates and degrees. The School of Education and Human Ecology, which houses the Department, is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The Department of Educational Psychology, Counseling and Special Education has ten full-time faculty members, offers graduate programs in school counseling and special education, and teaches courses in leaning, development and special education for elementary and secondary education majors.
