Black Hills State University is seeking to fill an Assistant Professor of Research and Assessment tenure-track position within the School of Education. The candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate courses beginning in August 2017.
The successful Candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service; will have the ability to connect theory to practice; will work in collaborative settings; and will have the desire/ ability to make connections with local schools.
Duties include teaching the undergraduate courses in quantitative/qualitative research methods, overseeing action research projects, engaging in appropriate research/scholarly activities and participating in or leading service activities.
- A doctorate in education in educational research and assessment or related field (ABD considered)
- Evidence of current best practices and action research in education.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of three (3) years successful P-12 school experience
- Online teaching experience
Preference will be given to candidates with specialized expertise in one or more of the following: Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Technology, or Literacy.
