Briar Cliff University of Iowa, an institution committed to higher education within a liberal arts and Catholic perspective, invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant or associate professor in education to start in the fall of 2017 (rank dependent on experience and qualifications). For associate professors, tenure may also be granted following successful review of a supplemental professional portfolio. Candidates will have earned an appropriate Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Special Education or a closely related field.
Candidates must have demonstrated successful experience in PK-6 regular education and PK-12 special education classrooms. Preference will be given to candidates able to teach general education courses in the Professional Core as well as expertise in Special Education Policy, Assistive Technology, and Instructional Strategist I: Mild/Moderate. Successful candidates will also demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education in a Catholic and Franciscan University.
