The Department of Education in the Division of Online and Professional Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position for the Education program. The successful candidate should possess a terminal degree in the field, although candidates with a Master’s degree who are working toward a terminal degree, and have significant experience in the field, may be considered. Strong candidates will demonstrate confirmation of teaching effectiveness, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and evidence of, and/or the potential for scholarship. Faculty duties include teaching courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level, engaging in research and scholarship, or professional involvement germane to the area of specialization, and serving with purpose and distinction within the community.

Teaching Responsibilities

This position involves teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate and/or graduate areas of Education including, but not limited to: educational foundations, growth development and learning, worldviews and contemporary issues, theories of learning and teaching, curriculum theory and development, survey of educational research, international and comparative education, personnel leadership and development, and exceptional child. Other duties may include developing or amending program curriculum, assessment of learning outcomes, and teaching in an online and/or hybrid setting. This position does require a local (Southern California) presence.
