Establishes a healthy classroom environment that is conducive to the advancement of student education. Maintains accurate students’ records. Assesses students’ progress and development. Promotes cultural understandings and assists in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere on campus. Assists with recruitment and retention. Maintains a professional rapport with students and colleagues.

Master’s degree in Education (Curriculum and Instruction, or related field) required, doctorate preferred. Preference given to candidates with sufficient graduate work in Psychology or related Social Science field to meet Higher Learning Commission standards for teaching in this discipline. Must have the necessary prior experience to demonstrate expertise in the field(s) taught and/or prior teaching experience, preferably at the post-secondary level. Teaching experience at the K-12 level desired.
