Overview

The Department of Elementary Education at Kutztown University invites applications for part-time faculty positions beginning Fall 2018. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. Required: Master’s degree and a minimum of five years classroom teaching experience in grades PreK-8 in an elementary or middle school setting with early childhood and/or elementary certification, be qualified or have experience to supervise field experiences and/or teach methods courses in a subset of the following: mathematics, science, literacy, social studies, assessment, ESL, and early childhood. Successful interview and demonstration lesson required. Preferred: candidates who will augment the diversity of the faculty and demonstrate evidence of effective teaching, service and scholarship in subject areas within professional settings related to teaching children, have attained a doctorate in education, hold a reading or ELL certificate, and background experience in supervision of pre-service teachers.
