Overview

The PennCLO Executive Doctoral and MedEd Master’s programs, as part of the Teaching, Learning and Leadership Division at The University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education (GSE) seeks applicants for a lecturer position in the area of adult learning, organizational learning and change, and leadership.

The successful applicant will primarily support the PennCLO Executive Doctoral Program, with some duties in the MedEd Master’s program as well.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:¬†organizing, monitoring and reporting on doctoral student progress; teaching core modules in business, learning, research methods, learning technology and or leadership; research and benchmarking best practices and innovation in organizational learning; supporting program faculty in curriculum review; management and implementation of program-related groups and projects; recruitment of students; and supporting students through advising and counsel on academic matters. Competitive candidates for the position must show a strong background in teaching senior leaders and executives, coaching senior leaders, and have a minimum of 5-8 years experience in a leadership position in an organization and/or consulting to leaders in business, government and/or not-for profit institutions. He/she must have a track record of publishing in the trade and/or academic press, and a plan to pursue publishing opportunities in a field related to organizational learning, business, and/or leadership. Applicants must have earned a doctorate in education, organizational behavior, applied psychology, or a related field. This appointment will be for one academic year and can be renewed twice for a total of three years, contingent upon a satisfactory performance evaluation after each year. We will begin reviewing applications on July 24, 2017, and will continue to consider new applications until the position is filled. We intend to fill the position prior to the upcoming academic year.
