Full-time, non-tenure track, administrative and assistant professor/instructor position to begin August 2018.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate professional education courses for the College of Education and Human Services at the Madisonville regional campus; assist with the development and implementation of professional development schools in the Madisonville region. Site Coordinator responsibilities include recruiting and advising undergraduate students, coordinating educational efforts with regional community college and Murray State University, recruiting and evaluating adjunct instructors, supervising student teachers, scheduling, and sponsoring a Kentucky Education Association Student Program chapter.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction or other educational field. The candidate must have three (3) or more years of public education teaching experience.
Preferred: Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Education, or closely related field. K-12 teaching experience required. Expertise in curriculum design models, teaching methodologies, teacher education, foundations of education, and assessment. Demonstrated commitment to diversity. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, P-12 partners, and community college personnel. Knowledge of standard-aligned instruction, strong communication skills, and knowledge of current best practices.
