The Department of Teacher Education in the College of Education and Human Performance at West Liberty University seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in secondary education for the undergraduate program.
Dedicated to a strong curriculum and thorough training of students, West Liberty Academy opened in 1838 with 65 students. Today, West Liberty University continues to prepare students in professional education and boasts enrollment of over 600 students. We are in our 63rd year of continuous national accreditation. West Liberty University is a small, comprehensive institution under the auspices of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.
The successful candidate will possess a terminal degree, or a Master’s degree with a willing to complete a terminal degree, in education, background in secondary curriculum development and instructional design, knowledge of educational assessment and research related to the field, strong background in human development and educational psychology, evidence of infusion of current instructional technology related to education, a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in P-12 education preferred, and teacher certification in the State of West Virginia (or certification eligible). Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The position includes a comprehensive benefit package.
