Position SummaryThe University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) seeks an enthusiastic, experienced, and collaborative colleague to teach and supervise research in the doctoral program of the Dreeben School of Education.

Essential FunctionsResponsibilities include teaching courses in the doctoral program and/or core graduate courses, serving on and chairing dissertation committees, advising, and participating on school and university committees. Assistant Professor-Doctoral Studies will contribute to the university’s mission of commitment to social justice through institutional and community service. Official duties and responsibilities of faculty members at the University include teaching, scholarship, service and professional activities. In all matters, faculty are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional ethics consistent with the UIW Mission.

Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesAbility to teach courses such as advanced statistics, research, evaluation and assessment. Ability to integrate instructional technology and diversity into teaching and student learning. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required EducationDoctoral degree with preparation in education or a related field.

Required Work ExperienceHigher education teaching experience, research experience, published research or demonstrated potential, and experience working with diverse students.

Preferred QualificationsGraduate teaching experience, experience teaching in various modalities, leadership experience, published research, experience guiding research and involvement in professional organizations.
