Overview

Multnomah University Graduate Department in Counseling invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor with an anticipated starting on (or before) July 1, 2019. The appointee will teach appropriate on-campus courses in counseling as assigned by the department chair, mentor students in the program, and collaborate with faculty and staff in the MAC program to envision and anticipate program growth.

Minimum Requirements:
Candidates should possess a doctorate in counselor education or be admitted to an accredited doctoral program in counselor education. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in a higher education setting and be familiar with a variety of non-traditional educational delivery systems and modalities. Preferred candidates should be strong clinicians with a professional license (e.g., LPC, psychologist). All candidates must embrace the Protestant evangelical faith as listed in the university doctrinal statement. In addition, they should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the integration of faith and learning. Teaching excellence is a high priority with service, advising, and scholarship appropriate to the discipline is also expected. Minorities are especially encouraged to apply.

Multnomah University includes undergraduate and graduate programs as well as Multnomah Biblical Seminary located in Portland, OR. All programs are coeducational and interdenominational. Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with education and experience. Compensation includes Full Time Benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Long-Term Disability benefits beginning the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
