The School of Education, Health Professions and Human Development at the University of Houston-Victoria is inviting applicants for a full-time, tenure-track generalist faculty position in Curriculum and Instruction at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in curriculum and instruction from an accredited university. Experience and expertise with 18 hours are needed in social studies.

The faculty responsibilities include but are not limited to, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses online and university-based; working collaboratively with EC – 12 schools, colleagues on and off campus and community and state and global partners. Candidates are expected to have an active research and publication agenda; actively seek external grants to support research and elevate programs; work with diverse student populations and participate in service to program, school, university and profession. NCATE, IDA or CAEP accreditation experience is preferred.

This position is in Victoria, Texas and may require travel to other program locations.

This appointment is a nine-month, appointment with possible additional opportunities for summer teaching. Applications are being accepted for employment beginning August 2019.
