Job Purpose

Teach graduate courses, conduct research, supervise dissertations, and serve on committees.

Essential Functions

Teach graduate courses in counseling and supervision, and supervise dissertations; engage in an active scholarly research agenda; service on University and Departmental committees; and service to community and professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program. Must demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to diversity and collegiality. University teaching experience at the graduate level, and experience supervising dissertation research/collaborating with doctoral students publishing counseling research. Potential to develop and conduct externally funded research in counseling or related areas. Experience commensurate with the rank of appointment. Licensed or licensed eligible in Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed School Counselor.

Preferred Qualifications

Research experience in topics relevant to rural settings such as addiction, program evaluation, multicultural counseling, etc. Expertise in statistical methods or qualitative methods used in counseling research.

Salary
Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position to begin August 2020.
