The Office of Undergraduate Education welcomes applications for an Instructional Consultant. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position.

The Office of Undergraduate Education works to promote and improve quality of academic programs and student success at OSU, a critical element of the university’s Strategic Plan, with a particular emphasis on increasing and equalizing retention and graduation rates across all student populations. Within the Office of Undergraduate Education, the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a learner-centered faculty development organization with resources to offer programming to meet the needs of all faculty, collaborates closely with the colleges to implement discipline-based programming, and integrates evidence, data, and current research into its services to improve teaching and learning focusing on high-impact practices.

Within the framework of this charge, the Instructional Consultant reports directly to the Associate Provost for Transformative Learning and holds the following responsibilities:

• The Instructional Consultant holds primary responsibility for developing and implementing programming and consulting services in collaboration with the colleges emphasizing teaching excellence and learning innovation.

• Conduct individual consultations and classroom visits with OSU instructors to support improvements in teaching and learning.

• Collaborate in the design and implementation of CTL programming and assessment.
