The College of Education at Oregon State University ,located in Corvallis, Oregon, invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, Tenure Track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Mathematics Education. This research and teaching appointment is in the Science and Mathematics Education program within the College of Education. The new faculty member will focus on K-12 mathematics education with a commitment to broadening student participation in mathematics via research, teaching and service in support of educational equity and social justice. The position carries an expectation for distinction in scholarly accomplishment. The new faculty member will develop and teach curriculum in K-12 licensure programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as in the doctoral program. Specifically, this individual will offer leadership in teaching elementary mathematics methods courses and will assume the role of program chair for the K-12 undergraduate licensure program and the undergraduate Education minor. In addition, the new faculty member will contribute to a growing emphasis within the College of Education on the intersection of disciplinary knowledge, practice and discourse with educational equity and social justice. In the area of service, this person will serve on college and university committees and actively engage in promoting student success through the lens of equity, inclusion and diversity.

This position requires a PhD in Mathematics education or closely related field by start of employment is required along with an established publication record or progress toward distinction.
